What is an Energy Certificate?

An Energy Certificate (EC) of a building or building unit is the document issued under the National Energy Certification System and Indoor Air Quality in Buildings (SCE), which translates the energy performance of the property, calling it a scale of A to G +.

Since July 2008, all new buildings must have a valid certificate. In the case of existing buildings, since 2009 these must necessarily possess a valid certificate at the stage of conclusion of the contract of sale, lease or rental.
